Eastern Savings Bank, a local family owned and operated financial institution, is seeking to hire a Loan Servicing Assistant Manager. The Loan Servicing department is responsible for the boarding and servicing of residential, commercial, and construction mortgage loans. The Loan Servicing Assistant Manager assists the manager in supervising and training loan servicing staff, overseeing procedures, facilitating operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates must be available to work at the Bank’s Headquarters in Hunt Valley, MD Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

Primary responsibilities of the Loan Servicing Assistant Manager are:

• Assist in maintaining, evaluating, and developing qualified, professional staff.
• Provide support for all functions of real estate servicing; including but not limited to Escrow, ARMs, payment processing, construction servicing, and post-closing reviews.
• Provide assistance and guidance to staff in accordance with Bank policy and procedures, and state and federal laws.
• Analyze complex transactions and reconcile monetary items, as needed, for loans and internal bank accounts.
• Perform review of security instruments, loan agreements and closing statements to determine servicing requirements.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree preferred; a combination of education and equivalent relevant loan servicing experience may be substituted. A minimum of five years of experience in mortgage loan servicing, a comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations as they apply to the Loan Servicing department and to the Bank, and a minimum of three years of supervisory or team lead experience. The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent written and oral communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills, and be able to effectively use Microsoft Office products. Experience with FIS Horizon Banking System preferred.
