    Full-time employment requires open availability.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage attendance, scheduling, work performance and other employee issues in conjunction with the department manager
    • Organize daily workload to ensure freight and back stock put away, shelves are stocked, and product is rotated
    • Ensure that coolers, work areas, storage areas, and floors are in clean and orderly condition
    • Adhere to all Idaho laws regarding food safety and sanitation and ensure staff is compliant
    • Train staff using department training manual and training checklists; retrain when needed
    • Coordinate daily huddles and conduct regular staff meetings to maintain good communication
    • Demonstrate objectivity, neutrality, and calmness under pressure
    • Maintain high level of presence on the floor to assist employees and customers
    • Perform other duties included in the department or the store as required
    • Demonstrate self-motivation; monitor own work to ensure quality and increase productivity.
    • Attend all department meetings and have working knowledge of vendors, products, and delivery schedules
    • Ensure department procedures for processing known loss, invoices, and special orders are followed
    • Maximize merchandising opportunities by building engaging, well-planned, product sets/displays that draw in consumers and ensures that all products are accurately labeled for description, ingredients, and price

       


    Requirements

    • Knowledge of principles, practices, theories and objectives of leadership, supervision, and training
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage communications, learn quickly, and build relationships with all levels of the organization; anticipates guests and store needs by evaluating the environment
    • Ability to handle multiple demands, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
    • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
    • Ability to communicate standards, expectations, policy changes and product knowledge to staff

    Environment: Work is performed primarily in a grocery store setting with extensive public contact and frequent interruptions.

    Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
