Our client is an industry leading Commercial Custom Fabrication Millwork shop located in the Detroit suburbs that is confidentially searching for a sharp CAD Draftperson/Designer with a millwork mindset that has experience with cabinet vision and can work into a lead position in the CAD department.
Excellent compensation including base salary up to $100,000 (based on experience), generous bonus, 401k match, full medical, opportunity to move into CAD Manager position, Relocation assistance.
In office position only. No “remote” or at home position available.
Must have communication and teamwork mindset with fellow CAD operators & all office personnel.
Millwork CAD Operator Experience a plus.
Cabinet Vision Software knowledge is a major plus. If no knowledge, must go through cabinet vision training.
Duties Required
Must be able to prepare shop drawings for submittal by dissecting and cross referencing Architectural / Equipment / Electrical / Plumbing drawings with associative specifications and finish schedules for design and functionality for PM review.
Identify Architectural Faux pas regarding inaccurate fabrication details or incorrect call outs.
Revise Shop drawings based on Project Manager markups & field dimensions.
Must be able to Write CNC Programming and Communicate with CNC operator regarding parts for CNC fabrication.
Skills / Qualifications
Drafting / Drafting Tools / Design Skills / AutoCAD / Cabinet Vision / Ability to conceptually visualize / Attention to Detail / Innovation / Creativity / Millwork Fabrication knowledge with first-hand experience.
