We are currently seeking a skilled Collections Specialist with experience in the apartment industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections and a thorough understanding of the unique challenges and processes within apartment management. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting our clients in resolving outstanding debts while maintaining positive tenant relations.
Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge of apartment management processes to effectively handle collections for delinquent accounts
Contact delinquent properties via phone, email, and mail to negotiate payment arrangements
Conduct skip tracing activities to locate hard-to-reach owners and resolve outstanding balances
Document all collection activities and update records in accordance with company policies
Meet or exceed monthly collection goals and targets set by management
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
2 years of experience in collections, with a focus on the apartment industry
Previous collections experince
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with property management software preferred
Understanding of lease agreements, rent collection processes, and eviction procedures
