Title: Collections Specialist
Reports to: Pueblo Central Operations Leadership
Description: Position supports the operations. This role is for a detailed oriented Collections Specialist who can ensure all lien rights, waivers and prelims are executed correctly and timely to protect the operations and are handled according to company policy. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This role will work closely with finance, accounting, and operations to reach department and company-wide business goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Review Levelset for new waivers received, to be saved in shared file, by job, by month
- Add to tracking report for the Draw, the GC, Job Name, Job#, and amount to receive
- Request all waivers by job and send, to GC, or Upload to Textura, depending on preference
- Reconcile past draws and open payable lists as needed
- Communicate via email and phone, with GC on payments available and issue waivers
- Add payments to tracking report
- Verify PayApp for dollar accuracy to billing systems data
- Physically pick up checks from the list of preferred GC’s, or as directed, and hand deliver waivers and reciprocate waivers
- Deposit checks as received
- New jobs assigned will require set up in Levelset, to issue prelims where applicable
- Obtain job info sheets to add missing data into the prelien in Levelset and track
- Signing all Unconditional waivers for checks received, including reconciliation with the cash posting in the system of record
- Maintain weekly waiver log for unpaid to reconcile
- Ad-Hoc small projects as needed
- Responding to emails to old jobs, pay apps, and reconciliation as needed
- Coordinate with Cash Application team on questions with remittances
Competencies:
- Firm construction industry experience required, specifically state line laws, lien waivers/releases, mechanic lien filings, etc.
- Knowledge of lien laws for state assigned
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communications Heavy attention to detail
- Strong commitment to consistently meeting deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with deep commitment to high-quality work products and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
- High School diploma
- Associate degree in finance or accounting preferred
- 5 years of business experience in a construction environment required
- Intermediate skills in Excel, Sage Intacct, Levelset, Textura, and Procore preferred
- Must be able to pass a pre-placement drug test and background screen.
