We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional for Supported Employment. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities:
- Assist individual with transporting to employment, follow along for the duration of shift, and medication reminders
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Document and report any changes in individuals' physical or mental health status
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care, nursing homes, home care, or assisted living is preferred
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and ability to provide appropriate assistance
- Ability to stay active and walk for 5 hours
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, employer, and supervisors
- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
- High school diploma or equivalent
