    Michigan Fire Claims, Inc. has an immediate opening for our Front Desk Receptionist position.

    As “The Receptionist”, you would be the first voice and/or face that represents Michigan Fire Claims, Inc. as a whole. We are seeking a qualified individual with a professional, pleasant demeanor with the capacity to perform the job duties described therein:

    Duties would primarily include:

    • Operational usage of a multi-line VOIP telephone, fielding all inbound calls. This includes answering multiple calls at once, placing calls on hold, park, transferring to different extensions and/or cell phones, and taking and delivering messages in a timely manner.
    • Making outbound calls to contact insurance companies, clients, and adjusters as frequently required.
    • Managing inbound and outbound general office email.
    • Processing incoming and outgoing mail daily.
    • Scanning, faxing, filing, and/or logging various documents.
    • Perform other administrative duties as needed, including basic data entry.

    The ideal candidate would:

    • Be extraordinarily detail-orientated.
    • Perform by multi-tasking efficiently in a busy office environment.
    • Be mindful of deadlines and operate urgently and efficiently within the scope of those time frames.
    • Be presentable and neat in appearance, dressing in accordance with standard business casual office attire.
    • Be extremely organized and mentally alert.
    • Be motivated to learn and grow within the company.
    • Be able to think, work, and act under pressure.

    The ideal candidate MUST:

    • Have 1-3 years’ experience in an office environment.
    • Be proficient with computers and “technology” usage, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; scanning and efaxing, postage and Fed Ex accounts.
    • Be comfortable answering and making phone calls.

    Job details:

    • Status: Full-time (40 hours a week).
    • Hours: Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am until 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break.
    • Pay: $16-$18/hr., dependent upon experience.
