Under the direction of the AVP Branch Experience Officer, the Branch Manager is responsible for managing the overall operations of the assigned branch to include consumer and mortgage loan origination, business development activities, member service, product sales, new membership growth and facility management. Hires, supervises, and develops employees to deliver superb performance. Performs operational analysis, organizes Branch-related activities, and contributes to the overall success of the branch in supporting Credit Union goals.

Oversees member services at the branch and builds relationships by promoting member-centered service delivery and by proactively addressing member needs.
Responsible for meeting branch sales goals and ensuring operational compliance with Credit Union policies and applicable regulations and laws.
Establishes and monitors employee sales and production goals.
Coaches, mentors, and reviews sales activities of employees and provides appropriate feedback and recommendations to management.
Ensures that employee training and development is being utilized effectively to achieve branch and individual sales goals, as well as meeting performance expectations of front-line operations.
Cross-sells Credit Union products and services.
Resolves complex member concerns, transactions, and errors.
Ensures the application of and compliance with established Credit Union operating policies and procedures. Performs monthly certifications to ensure compliance and minimal branch audit exceptions. Assures that branch audit results are within acceptable boundaries.
Manages branch cash and maintains branch limit requirements and ensures that branch employees have acceptable balancing results.
Ensures branch general ledger accounts are kept in balance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Effectively directs and supervises assigned employees, ensuring optimal performance.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Credit Union policies and applicable laws.
Supervisory duties include, but are not limited to, employee selection, training, coaching and discipline. Verifies employee time records and employee performance. Motivates, coaches, and evaluates assigned employees’ performance.
Establishes an environment that promotes teamwork and eliminates barriers to effectively working within the branch and across the Credit Union organizational structure.
Regularly schedules and conducts Department meetings to keep employees current on Credit Union goals, promotions, products, services, and activities. Encourages participation and open communication.
Education and Experience
Associates degree, and/or three to five years of increasingly responsible experience in an operations position within a financial institution.

Board policies and Credit Union goals, organizational structure, policies, procedures (including Office Procedure Manual and Employee Handbook), practices, and systems.
Credit Union products, services, programs, and promotions.
Proficiency in MS Office and other software needed to perform job.
Supervisory Skills and Abilities
Develops and encourages cooperation and teamwork among employees.
Possesses skills in directing, coaching, motivating, delegating, evaluating, and counseling assigned employees.
Knowledge and experience in promoting teamwork and eliminating barriers to effectively working within the Department and across the Credit Union organizational structure.
Operates a variety of office equipment and machines.
Travels, attends, and participates in meetings, seminars, and conferences held before and after normal business hours that may require unaccompanied long-distance travel and overnight lodging.
Ability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends.
