Community Outreach Specialist - Administration

The Community Outreach Specialist will represent the vision and mission of GCGCH to the healthcare industry, consumer market, and community. Including engagement with the local community, and surrounding communities, and focusing on creating continuing community support. Managing and growing our community partnerships, using face-to-face outreach, email and phone outreach, community meetings and events, open houses, sponsorships, and field marketing events.

Duties to include but not limited to:
Developing short and long-term outreach plans.
Creating press releases and other formal announcements in coordination with Marketing Specialist.
Attend community and neighborhood meetings.
Assist in the organization of special events.
Build relationships with community members, groups, and organizations.
Assist with research of potential government, foundation and corporate funding opportunities.
Attend meetings as requested.
Report weekly on community outreach programs and opportunities for community engagement, efforts, and results.
Maintain an understanding of local and county government leadership and activities.
Assess new areas for potential clinic and hospital expansion and assist with outreach, location evaluation, and recruitment marketing.
Assist Marketing as needed.
Develop quarterly newsletter.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a community outreach coordinator or similar role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Strong knowledge of community services and resources.
Experience in event planning preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Bachelor's degree in public relations, or related field preferred.
