Assistant Maintenance Technician - Pensacola

    About the Role:
    Assist in the coordination daily operations of the engineering/maintenance departments and staff; maintains all equipment, interior and exterior of buildings, and property in proper condition.

    What You’ll Do:
    • Maintain property including but not limited to offices, production areas, public areas, and equipment through development and implementation of preventive maintenance program; ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications
    • Maintain organization’s physical operations including but not limited to refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electric systems
    • Maintain turnover of units by scheduling in-house work and external vendors as needed
    • Interfaces with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs; ensures timely response to requests
    • Maintains proper inventory levels; authorizes purchase orders for supplies and equipment
    • Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations
    • Assists staff in maintenance and repair of equipment, buildings, and property as needed
    • Participates in the after-hours emergency on-call service for residents
    • Participate in required quarterly PM inspections of homes
    • Pre-inspection of all properties in preparation for all REAC inspections
    • Participate and maintain work orders to ensure completed to standards and in a timely manner
    • Participate in completion of unit turns

    Skills Required:
    • 2 years of related experience or equivalent
    • EPA Certifications and other licenses required by law (preferred)
    • Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills
    • Knowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws
    • Commitment to excellence and high standards
    • Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks
    • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
    • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
    • Proficient on OneSite and Microsoft a plus
    • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
    • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
    • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
    • Ability to understand any and all safety rules and regulations
