The Sr Admin - IT Asset Management is a lead role responsible for all the incoming and outgoing distribution of IT equipment to Maximus staff throughout the U.S.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Receive inventory, process and / or distribute incoming / outgoing shipments under Maximus guidelines.
• Maintain Maximus hardware (End User Compute, Network, Infrastructure, etc.) stock to established min / max levels on an ongoing basis.
• Process returned equipment from remote users which involves, but not limited to, unpacking of boxes, breaking down of boxes, scanning in the inventory into the ITAM system of record, executing diagnostics on the returned equipment, staging usable equipment back into Surplus stock
• Facilitate the return / replacement of faulty assets through warranty repair with vendors.
• Conducts quarterly audits to ensure accuracy of asset data and reporting.
• Asset tagging and management of inventory software.
• Coordinate the management and loading of assets into the Maximus asset tracking tool(s).
• Coordinating asset transfer to designated IT Asset Disposition Vendor
• Order supplies that are needed such as boxes, wrap, tape and asset tags.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Multitask and maintain a high level of detail and accuracy throughout multiple processes
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently, with a minimal amount of direction, and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and Maximus accepted practices.
• Ability to train others in daily tasks such as : receiving new inventory, assigning inventory to deployment teams, using designated ITSM and ITAM tools
• The ability to temporarily fill in for the supervisor and provide direction to the team to ensure continuity of operations.

Education and Requirements :

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 4-6 years of related experience is required
• Experience working with IT equipment in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred
• A broad knowledge of logistics, dealing with both shipping and receiving, is preferred
• Knowledge of IT Asset Management and IT Service Management software, like Lansweeper, Cherwell, and Service Now, is a plus but not required

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to stand and move around the work area for long periods of time
• Ability to sit for 20% to 40% of the day
• Ability to lift or carry objects up to 60 lbs.
