JOB SUMMARY:
The ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK works under the direct supervision of the Director of Finance & Accounting. This position is responsible for performing functions related to the operation of the filing, report generating, computer operation, billing, and financial systems of the agency and processes accounts payable activities for the Area Agency on Aging of NW Arkansas.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works up Regional and County Offices Accounts Payables (A/P) invoices for payment.
2. Processes and issues checks for all Agency Offices (Regional and Branches).
3. Makes bank deposits for Agency and Foundation as required.
4. Maintains account balances on computerized spreadsheet, recording all receipts and checks issued, interest, and fees/charges for Foundation.
5. Creates and enters Journal Entries (J/E) to record cash receipts, interest earned & bank fees to books on Agency, Branch Offices and Foundation accounts.
6. Provides Monthly Trial Balance for preparation of Bank Reconciliations on Foundation accounts.
7. Attends job-related training as required.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
