We are looking for a professional bookkeeper with significant accounting experience to join our corporate office in Lafayette. This position is predominantly a bookkeeping role and will also have some administrative duties.
Major responsibilities include:
-Performing all bookkeeping duties for multiple companies
* Making journal entries
* Posting journal entries to ledger accounts
* Preparing trial balances
* Performing bank reconciliations
* Preparing financial statements including; P&L, BS and Cash Flow
* Preparing other financial reports
* Depositing money received by several organizations
* Issuing invoices for money that is owed to the organization
* Accounts payable
* Accounts receivable
* Payroll administrative duties
* Payroll tax filings
-Preparing, reviewing and analyzing financial statements
-Utilizing QuickBooks for bookkeeping duties
-Serving as a gatekeeper to minimize incoming distractions from phone calls and in-person visitors at the corporate office
-Answering incoming phone calls and greeting visitors in a professional manner when other administrative team members are out of the office
