Toolpusher oversees all rig operations to ensure the operations are conducted safely and effectively and meet customer expectations. Provides proper guidance and direction to rig crew on specific tasks to be performed, enforcing safe work practices and conducting training sessions as necessary. Being a Toolpusher monitors employees' performance and progress, addressing attendance issues and making sure crew is provided with appropriate tools and supplies. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Toolpusher typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Toolpusher manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.   • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for own personal safety and the safety of co-workers
    • Assist OIM in all operations carried out on the rig
    • Provide Drillers and crewmembers help and guidance as needed
    • Ensure activities are conducted in compliance with permits and drilling program
    • Assist Drillers in delegating work for crewmembers and follow through
    • Ensure rig and equipment is maintained properly
    • Assist Operator Representative in any matter they have concerning the rig or well
    • Maintain good working relations with other departments
    • Participate in on-the-job training and formal training of crews
    • Assist in making sure all paperwork is done correctly and in a timely fashion
    • Keep a good attitude about job and surroundings

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School graduate or GED
    • Requires a minimum of 5 years as toolpusher in the industry.
    • Must possess current well control certification, 1st Aid, CPR and Forklift/Manlift certificates.
    • Ability to read, write and speak English to be able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give them.
    • Ability to use simple math to make job related calculations.
    • Knowledge of top drive design and function.
    • Able to work in high places for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to climb derrick structures with required PPE, climb tall flights of stairs, work out of a riding harness for lengthy periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
    • Must pass pre-employment UA.
