Additionally, Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Description
Skilled in building, troubleshooting, repairing, preventative maintenance and have good working knowledge of sheet metal type, draw, progressive, transfer, piercing, forming dies and high speed stamping dies with little supervision.
Experience with compound progressive tools a must.
Troubleshoot and repair dies in the press and/or bench.
Reports unusual conditions or problems to supervisor.
Studies specifications and engineering blueprints.
