**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machining, CAD, and CNC machinery. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will play a crucial role in the production process by creating and maintaining precision tools used in our manufacturing processes.
**Responsibilities:**
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Use tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders to fabricate precision parts
- Set up and operate CNC machinery for tool production
- Inspect finished tools to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot and repair tools as needed
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool performance
**Experience:**
- Machine Tool Technology vocational school or similar experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with CNC programming and operation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of tooling principles
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software for tool design
