Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor oversees skilled workers responsible for constructing, maintaining, modifying, and calibrating machine shop tools, dies, prototypes, jigs, fixtures and molds. Supervises the set up and operation of various lathes, grinders, milling, and boring machines used to produce tools. Being a Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor completes high level tool development work. Ensures jobs are completed correctly and on time. Additionally, Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. We are seeking a Tool and Die Maker apprentice to join our team. We are looking for individuals with a passion for machining and fabricating that want to learn the necessary skills to become a tool and die maker. Having courses completed in a manufacturing trade is a plus but not necessary. Must be willing to take direction and learn as this will be a on the job training. Individuals who want a new challenge everyday and to learn new skills are invited to join our apprenticeship program.
Job summary: Our tool and die maker apprentice will learn about metal stamping, die set-up, and use manual machines such as saws, mills, drill pressed, grinders, and lathes. Our apprenticeship program gets you working while learning the necessary skills all at once.
