Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor oversees skilled workers responsible for constructing, maintaining, modifying, and calibrating machine shop tools, dies, prototypes, jigs, fixtures and molds. Supervises the set up and operation of various lathes, grinders, milling, and boring machines used to produce tools. Being a Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor completes high level tool development work. Ensures jobs are completed correctly and on time. Additionally, Tool, Die, and Gauge Making Supervisor may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team and support production activities at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii (Oahu).
This is a non-deployable role and there will not be any travel involved.
Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing tools, machine tool fixtures, dies, measuring devices, support equipment, materials and / or supplies in support of local and deployed locations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies and investigates shortages, overages and discrepancies. Verifies conformance to specifications and invoices.
Orders and stores required supplies.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Other duties as assigned or required.
