What We Need:

We are looking for a Tool and Die Maker to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings teams in Muscatine, IA!

Shift: 1st (MON-FRI, 5AM-130PM) OR 2nd (MON-FRI, 2PM-1030PM)

Pay: starting between $25 - $32.00 per hour based on prior experience. Our 2nd, 3rd, or weekend shift opportunities receive an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential. We pay our Members weekly!

JOB DETAILS

In a Tool & Die Maker role, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of fabrication, repair and maintenance of dies, fixtures, jigs and other tooling items required for the proper running of equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, repair and maintain all dies, fixtures, jigs and other tooling items required for the proper running of equipment.

• Design and create tools.
• Assist in preventative maintenance program for tooling
• Project work as needed.
• Follow standard work for tooling duties; suggest and document improvements to standard work.
• Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

What is expected?

• Safety - comply with safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures; meet the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Environment - Dust, fumes and noise are common; while some facilities are climate controlled, seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and humidity are expected

Education and/or Required Training:

• Prior completion of a Tool and Die Apprenticeship is preferred.
• 5 years of progressive tooling experience working up to become a Tool and Die Maker
