Tool Design Engineer jobs in Malden, MA
Tool Design Engineer designs and develops tools and machinery used to facilitate and optimize manufacturing processes. Reviews product design and build requirements to determine tooling concepts, design options, testing plans, and specifications. Being a Tool Design Engineer develops designs for fixtures, jigs, gauges, cutting and forming tools, carts, racks, and other items to support production. Utilizes Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create accurate, complete, and concise design models and documentation to fabricate tools. Additionally, Tool Design Engineer estimates costs, resource requirements, and materials required for tools. May manage the sourcing, quoting, or procurement of purchased tools. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Design Engineer work is closely managed. About the Role
Stonefield Engineering and Design is currently recruiting a Project Engineer to join the Site/Civil Engineering Team. This is a dynamic position that will offer the opportunity for diverse interaction and rapid growth.
Responsibilities
- Design of site layout and grading and stormwater management
- Utilities
- Soil erosion and sediment control measures
- Landscaping
- Lighting
- Project Management including zoning and land development permitting, field inspection, hydraulic and hydrologic design and analysis, site plan drafting, environmental impact assessment, and preparation of project report
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivation
- Experience with site and grading design, zoning and site plan permitting process, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and/or technical writing are a plus
