Tool Crib Attendant jobs in New Mexico
Tool Crib Attendant inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Being a Tool Crib Attendant keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed. Additionally, Tool Crib Attendant has training and experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Crib Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. M1 is looking for an Tool & Parts Attendant with the following knowledge and experience:
- Performs functions of material control. Ensures items are correctly identified.
- Distributes materials as required. Notifies Supervisor when items are misidentified of lost.
- Ensures items are packed and routed correctly.
- Orders parts and supplies required to support maintenance operations, tool program, and administrative programs.
- Maintain technical orders as required.
- Monitors vehicle control, hazardous materials and facilities custodian programs.
- May be responsible for supply and equipment accounts.
- Responsible for compliance of environmental procedures associated with supplies under his/her control.
- Coordinates and expedites the flow of DIFM assets back into Supply for serviceability.
- Arrange for transfer of parts to meet MICAP requirements.
- May conduct follow-up actions on parts or equipment requisitions.
- Coordinates with base supply to resolve parts or supplies issues.
- Responsible for the inspection of supply materials incoming and perform research using supply publications.
- Identify and process equipment and supply for turn-in to the Defense Re-utilization and Marketing Office (DRMO).
- Responsible for ordering time change items.
- Maintains TMDE accounts and performs pickup and delivery of assets.
- Responsible for preparation of maintenance and company purchase requests and purchase order files and submission of
- May order personal protective equipment and office supplies.
- Responsible for CTK Management.
- Notify supervision of all late returned and lost tools.
- Perform inventory required under the CTK program and inspect all tools and equipment assigned for serviceability.
- Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts and assemblies within or between work centers and the host supply
- May occasionally be required to perform duties of lesser skilled classification.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required, mathematics skills are desirable
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and special operating
- Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).
- Must be able to, if required, obtain and maintain a government driver’s license.
- Environment ranges from office to hangar and flight line and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending,
