Tool Crib Attendant inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Being a Tool Crib Attendant keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed. Additionally, Tool Crib Attendant has training and experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Crib Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the issuing, receiving, and storing of tools, gauges, and other equipment. Keeps an inventory of tools, inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects, and orders new equipment when needed. Maintains records of tool use.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Receives, stores, and issues tooling, gauges, and other equipment. Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.
- Locates lost or misplaced tooling, gauges, and other equipment.
- Perform inventory as required.
- Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tooling, gauges, and other equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
- Inspects tooling, gauges, and other equipment for defects and wear, visually or using microscope, and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
- May deliver tooling, gauges, or other equipment to work centers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS- Must have 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
- Must have good attention to detail and be quality conscious.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE- High school education or equivalent is required

- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Must have 20/20 correctable vision
