    Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer

    The Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer executes digital development and architecture efforts for cutting-edge technologies, serving both consumer and internal audiences. Responsibilities include designing and coding technical solutions, leading development from architecture to API implementation. They communicate project details, address technical inefficiencies, and collaborate with UI/UX designers for seamless user experiences. Adapting to changing needs, they create work plans, iterate prototypes, document system designs, update content, and foster team collaboration.

    So, What’s the Gig?

    • Provide technical guidance to the Digital Solutions team and various other internal project stakeholders.
    • Design and code superior technical solutions for all Kreg’s digital projects.
    • Ensure clear communication of project scope, timing, prioritization, budgets, resource needs, and progress on an ongoing basis.
    • Effectively support existing digital solutions, specifically targeting technical inefficiencies.
    • Show aptitude and desire for owning responsibility of technical decisions for multiple projects.
    • Coordinate with the design, digital marketing, and other teams to create low-fidelity and high-fidelity browser mockups to showcase digital projects.
    • Create and execute project work plans depending on changing needs and requirements.
    • Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments as well as natural curiosity to improve service to Kreg’s digital consumers while enforcing coding standards and best practices.
    • Ensuring applications adhere to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
    • Creatively manage the troubleshooting of post-launch bugs or malfunctions as well as proactively suggest updates.
    • Manage and own multiple, simultaneous Git workflows.
    • Fluidly manage JIRA work ticketing boards to stay on top of digital project enhancements and bug fixes.
    • Iterate quickly on prototypes to bring a project swiftly to life.
    • Coordinate the writing of thorough documentation for any systems designed, for all stakeholders.
    • Self-motivated and able to prioritize requests and take ownership of tasks from origination to resolution.
    • Potential and mentor full stack developers to enable their development.
    • Update and maintain content across multiple systems.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or another applicable field.
    • Around 4 years of experience in full stack web development.
    • Around 4 years of experience with custom CMS development (WordPress preferred).
    • 2 years of experience with custom JavaScript development (Angular JS, React, or React Native).
    • 2 years of experience with Enterprise-Grade e-commerce Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
    • 2 years of experience with Python development is a plus.
    • Strong Experience in unit testing practices for code QA and testing.
    • Strong Understanding of MySQL, SQL and/or NoSQL database languages and architecture.
    • Strong Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean) and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure.
    • Strong Understanding of modern front-end web development techniques including responsive. design and load performance.
    • Strong experience using CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS and task runners like Grunt or Gulp.
    • Strong experience with Git workflows.
