Tool Crib Attendant inventories, stores, and distributes hand tools and other equipment. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage. Being a Tool Crib Attendant keeps an inventory of tools by tracking the distribution of tools and users in a database or other system. Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed. Additionally, Tool Crib Attendant has training and experience in an industrial environment with familiarity of heavy machinery and tools. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Tool Crib Attendant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Purpose:
This Aii Systems Co-Op position balances classroom theory with hands-on practice to provide students or recent graduates with valuable experience in their field of study.
Essential Functions:
· Performs machinist operations to manufacture components from various materials that will be used in the build of automated assembly equipment and other miscellaneous engineered components per internal and external design specifications.
· Read and interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements and specifications.
· Utilizing the saw, cut parts from stock material as needed per print packs to support operations within the machine shop and fabrication departments.
· Utilize CAM software, such as Fusion 360, to create machining programs.
· Set up machines and fixtures as required to produce custom parts.
· Perform manual machining tasks as needed.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Communicates with supervisors, peers and engineers concerning production issues, changes, and concerns.
· Utilize overhead crane and lifting straps to move various parts.
· All other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
· Enrolled or recent graduate within Machine Tool Technology.
· Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Minimum Qualifications
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
· Ability to handle multiple assignments and complete tasks within given time frames.
· Strong numerical and analytical skills.
· Self-motivated with a natural ability to take initiative.
· Ability to manage time, organize, and plan effectively.
· Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) preferred.
