    We are seeking a highly organized and responsible individual to join our team as a Tool Crib Attendant/Driver. In this dual role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tool crib, ensuring efficient tool distribution, providing fleet support and providing transportation support for the team. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a valid driver's license.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Tool Crib Management: Maintain an organized tool crib, tracking inventory levels and re-ordering supplies as needed.  Issue tools and equipment to employees based on requests and project requirements.  Conduct routine inventory audits for accuracy.
    • Tool Inspection & Maintenance: Inspect tools for damage or defects prior to issuing them.  Arrange for tool repairs or replacements as necessary. 
    • Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of tool transactions, including but not limited to issues, returns, and repairs. Generate reports on tool usage & inventory levels.  Update and manage the tool crib database. 
    • Driver Responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles to transport tools and equipment to and from job sites, ensuring timely and secure delivery.  Follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
    • Fleet Support: Assist in the coordination of maintenance and repair activities for the fleet, working closely with mechanics and external service providers, keeping accurate records of all service schedules, repairs, and inspections.  Coordinate vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.  Assist in the management of fleet-related documentation, such as registration, insurance, and permits.
    • Communication: Collaborate with team members to understand project tool requirements and communicate effectively with colleagues regarding tool availability and distribution.
    • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling tools and operating company vehicles.  Participate in safety training programs.  Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the tool crib.

    Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy objects.
    • Comfortable with prolonged periods of standing and walking.
    • Capable of performing tasks that may involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong ability to complete due diligence and risk assessment
    • Impeccable integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders.

    Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:

    • Familiarity with basic tools and equipment.
    • Knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite.

    Education & Experience:

    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 2 years experience in tool crib management or related field, preferred.

    Working Conditions:

    The majority of the time you will work in a typical warehouse environment, the remainder of the time you will be on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space.  You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

    IME provides an industry-leading comprehensive benefits package.  Full-time employees are eligible to choose from a variety of healthcare coverage options, which become effective the first of the month after hire.  In addition, employees are offered a substantial amount of PTO and are immediately eligible to make contributions to a generously matched and fully vested 401k. 

     

    Salary Range:  $20.50 - $26.50/hour
