Job Summary:
As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will be instrumental in maintaining our tool inventory, ensuring all equipment is in excellent condition and available as needed. You'll work closely with our maintenance and production teams to support our manufacturing processes, ensuring tools and equipment are provided efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain an accurate tracking system for all tool inventories.
· Match received parts with bills of lading to invoices.
· Investigate tool quality issues and recommend improvements.
· Maintain relationships with external tooling vendors.
· Handle requisition requests from various departments, ensuring accurate record-keeping for items dispensed and returned.
· Maintain minimum stock levels for commonly used tools, parts, and supplies.
· Ensure compliance with federal (OSHA), state, and local safety laws.
· Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on all tools and equipment.
· Assist and train less experienced attendants.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma/GED required.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tool Crib/Inventory management.
· Thorough knowledge of general parts and inventory control practices.
· Ability to perform well under limited supervision and maintain high levels of performance.
· Strong organizational skills and capability to meet deadlines.
· Proficiency in basic math and sufficient computer skills for inventory management.
· Must wear required personal protective equipment and be aware of lock-out/tag-out procedures.
