Summary

POSITION PURPOSE:   To ensure continuous support for distribution, transportation, and inventory management for YTMM Raw Material Warehouse.  Key responsibilities are safety, warehouse capacity management, time management, security, inventory accuracy and control, transportation management, employee relations, and housekeeping, as delivered through essential planning and execution of procedures in conformance within YTMM standards as related to SEQDCH.  

This position requires 24/7 on call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate team lead and operator training
• Expert knowledge of all technical processes and equipment within the department
• Ensures all aspects of the existing departmental and company SOPs and safety policies are followed
• Address and resolve safety and quality issues within allowed time frame
• Responsible for ISO9001 qualification, standardization and maintaining of documentations for compliance
• Prepares and execute plans based on production schedule, receipt schedule and production orders
• Prioritizes work satisfying internal customers’, external supplier needs
• Responsible for developing and leading Kaizen process, with focus on 5S/2S and daily KPMs.  
• Supervise and coordinate TPM activities
• Develop, initiate, and facilitate countermeasures for continuous improvement.
• Interfaces with our parent company YTC daily. 
• Strong systems and process development and troubleshooting
• Assists Inventory Control Manager in controlling the Departmental operating expenses.
• Assist Plant Planning team with selection of capital purchases and supplies such as forklifts, equipment, tools and support materials, factory supplies and other utilities to maximize useful life.
• Assist Plant Planning with order scheduling and fulfilment
• Responsible for developing and maintaining on-going programs supporting employee communications, morale, safety, and development.
• Takes a leadership role while working across organizational boundaries and ensures financial and service success of YTMM warehouse activities.
• Maintains hourly employee time and monitors and controls overtime work
• Performs other duties as required (meetings, reports, etc.)

Knowledge and Skills

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Working knowledge of WMS systems such as SEEDS and SAP
• Systems and equipment trouble shooting
• Ability to evaluate and complete quality checks and document results using data base collection system
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work to increase efficiency and satisfy customer needs
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Leadership and Team Building
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient to expert in Microsoft Applications
• Perform on-call duties and after hours work as required
• Critical thinking/problem solving

Education and Experience

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 5 years preferred Inventory Control or Warehouse Supervision

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

   - HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA

   - AA DEGREE - Minimum

X - BACHELORS DEGREE - Preferred

Travel Requirements:

• Possible training overseas for up to 2 months or as needed.
