Textbook Manager jobs in Arlington, TX
Textbook Manager manages the textbook department of the campus bookstore. Purchases the necessary texts for university courses, makes pricing decisions, and keeps track of inventory and sales. Being a Textbook Manager develops textbook buy back programs and return policies. Supervises the preparation and return of overstock and defective books. Additionally, Textbook Manager may lead and direct the work of others. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a bookstore manager. The Textbook Manager supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Textbook Manager typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Summer Technology/Textbook Worker
The summer student worker program for the Technology/Textbook.
The person(s) selected will provide support for technology and textbook operations. Schedules of operations include morning and/or afternoon hours, not to exceed 20 hours per week without approval from the Director of Technology. May include warehouse work with extreme physical demands; knowledge of computers/iPads; ability to drive/deliver items to campuses; and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Must wear uniform established by the department and appropriate for the position.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
High School attendance with age of at least 16 at the time of application.
Current College Student (High School graduate with verified enrollment in Fall Semester and/or currently enrolled.)
**College Graduate (Lead Position only – 1) Responsible for scheduling all student workers; 2) Will work 35-40 hours per week; current employee preferred.)
