METAIRIE, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Construction Materials Technician for a leading geotechnical engineering firm.
Essential Duties:
· In the field, our CMT Technicians will be involved with site observation; testing; and sampling and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, and asphalt; and visual observation and inspection of structural steel placement during construction. When not in the field, personnel will be expected to work in our soil mechanics laboratory or assist in our drilling or engineering departments.
Requirements/Skills:
· We have immediate openings for CMT Technicians. Both experienced and unexperienced personnel will be considered for these positions. Entry level candidates start at $17/hour and wages go up based on experience and ACI certification.
Physical Requirements:
· While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 or more pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
· While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
