Job Summary: 

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Test Manager.  This person will manage day to day operations of the test department including both Test Engineers and Test Technicians.

Job Description:

• Number one priority is safe test execution while maintaining test data infallibility
• Manage the test engineering staff and the test technician team 
• Coordinate day to day priorities and activities for the team and provide direction to the team as required
• Ensure that projects are completed on budget and on time following procedures while prioritizing safety
• Work with the different cross functional organizations to plan, schedule, and coordinate test execution
• Develop procedures for work execution 
• Manage the Test Department budget and ensure direct utilization requirements are met by maintaining appropriate staffing levels
• Establish facility capital improvement plans
• Review specifications, Statement of Work (SOW), Requests for Proposal (RFP), for new business and technical proposals
• Ability to provide senior leadership technical backstop ensuring safe test operations
• Develop department personnel skills via technical/professional training

Job Qualifications (Education/Skills/Experience):

• BS/MS in Engineering discipline, Physics, or Mathematics
• 10 years Defense/Aerospace work experience
• Operational leadership experience, preferred
• Experience in internal ballistic testing of rocket motors
• Experience live firing weapon systems including external and terminal ballistics, preferred
• Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations.
