  • Landscape Workshop Operations Managers direct the day-to-day activities of facility services teams to consistently service our clients’ properties in an extraordinary manner so that the LW Facility Services name and reputation continue to flourish.   The Operations Manager will ensure that production teams are providing a superior service experience to clients and high quality product delivery while operating safely and efficiently at all times.  In addition, the OM will report all operational issues, deficiencies, needs, and disciplinary actions to the General Manager.

    The Operations Manager position is the proving ground for the future leaders of Facility Services and requires a commitment to the “can do” attitude of the department.  The Operations Manager will be the hands and feet of the General Manager and will execute on a wide variety of customer requests.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Communicate regularly with the General Manager of Facility Services to understand and complete a wide range of projects as requested by our customers. Projects are often investigatory in scope but may also include physical labor when necessary.
    • Work independently to complete all projects in a timely fashion and report to GM. The Ops Mgr is often considered the “eyes and ears, hands and feet” for out of town based customers.
    • Communicate to employees the values, customer value proposition, policies and procedures by which the company operates.
    • Clearly communicate the branch’s commitments and expectations to those supervised, motivate them in an acceptable fashion to “exceed our expectations” and monitor progress towards these objectives through regular informal evaluations.
    • Develop a clear understanding of your staff’s strengths, weaknesses, professional and personal goals. Based on this knowledge, take an active role in their development within the company in an effort to respond to personnel needs within the branch.
    • Maintain a constant recruiting effort to ensure staffing levels are met both currently and in the future.
    • Develop a clear understanding of the labor and cost budgets for each of your jobs. Monitor by reviewing job costs with GM and taking action as needed. Communicate job cost information to supervisors and managers on a regular basis to control hours and costs.
    • Review all facets of your assigned jobs with General Manager including, but not limited to contract scope, service delivery, and labor forecast.
    • Monitor the quality of our service and product delivery by scheduling property visits based on guidelines provided by the General Manager.
    • Ensure a retention rate in excess of 90 percent through this monitoring and contact by addressing any customer concerns within 24 hours.
    • Estimate and sell enhancement revenue and pressure washing services based on sales goal provided by the General Manager.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Demonstrated ability and 18 months of experience managing others on the production level
    • Including recruiting and hiring, performance evaluation and training and development.
    • Knowledge of all associated machinery and trucks involved in delivering our products and services.
    • Ability to do takeoffs and measure pressure washing jobs.
    • Demonstrated skill and ability managing the production of service work.
    • At least 18 months of experience running more than one project at a time.
    • Experience with, and basic knowledge of, computer operation.
    • Ability to learn Aspire quickly.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.
    • Ability to pass required Department of Transportation physical
