Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Test Engineering will oversee new product development and qualification testing efforts as well as initial production and production handoffs. This includes but is not limited to developing test procedures, building development, qualification, and ATP test setups, performing critical testing and training production Technicians.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hires and manages test engineering staff.
Oversees the daily workflow, assignments, and work schedules of test engineers.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Establishes success criteria and develops the individual performers on the team.
Collaborates with all areas of the business to better align projects/programs for success.
Ensures safe practices are employed while testing.
Oversees the testing process’ performed as required by the NPI stage gate process.
Evaluates, oversees, and distributes proposals for testing programs and operating procedures; reviews testing and data collection systems.
Analyzes production requirements and workload to prepare project budgets, schedules, and timetables.
Monitors project timelines; ensures production deadlines are met.
Communicates any significant delays, problems, risks, or changes effected by testing process to senior management.
Ensures product testing continues until product requirements and specifications are met.
Oversees the preparation and distribution of detailed technical procedures and reports.
Evaluates and implements recommendations required to resolve production and operational problems.
Evaluates and facilitates implementation of ongoing quality control testing procedures to be incorporated into the regular production process.
Oversees coordination and execution of outside laboratory testing as needed.
Oversees internal R&D test facilities and internal vibration lab.
Evaluates systems; makes recommendations for updating facility processes and procedures to increase efficiency and production.
Performs other related duties as required.

10 years of related experience required, including at least 5 years as a manager.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
