Terminal Manager - Medium jobs in Layton, UT

What began as a strictly Swiss cheese plant, has expanded until now over 30 varieties of cheeses, and also UHT (Ultra High Temperature) shelf stable milk in a variety of flavors.

Production Associate I: Medium Duty

Primary responsibilities:

Reads pallet sheets and understands which products are coming up for packaging.

Applies labels to packages and boxes correctly.

Understands where to check for correct labeling and coding for each product.

Stacks pallets neatly and correctly

Must be able to perform repetitive tasks as pushing, pulling, lifting, grabbing, and moving of product.

Operates a pallet jack safely and effectively.

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Opens rejected product and prepares product for repackaging.

Strictly adheres and enforces the company GMP policy, food safety, quality policies and sanitation procedures.

Help with breaks.

Should have the capability to occasionally relocate the trim crates, which typically weigh around 50 pounds.

Qualifications:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak in English.

The individual must be able to work in a team oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years experience in manufacturing environment or production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience in manufacturing environment or production.

Schedule:

• Day Shift, Monday to Thursday occasionally Fridays
• 6AM to 6PM
• NO WEEKENDS!!

Pay

• Training pay starts at $16.00/Hour with a potential to reach $18.00/Hour after meeting all skill levels.
