Terminal Manager - Large supervises the operations of a storage/distribution terminal (bulk, package, or both) associated with a plant. Coordinates loading, unloading, monitoring, and maintenance activities. Being a Terminal Manager - Large ensures delivery schedules are met and communicates changes or delays to shippers and customers. Implements all required safety policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure secure and safe operations. Additionally, Terminal Manager - Large prepares and reviews reports related to shipments and inventory. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Terminal Manager - Large supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Terminal Manager - Large typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     The Terminal Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations and Profit and Loss activity for the terminal.

    Responsibilities:

    Supervise, lead, and direct the loading and unloading of freight.

    Train, monitor, and enforce dock loading freight flow and bar-coding procedures.

    Manage the dock and driver personnel

    Provide executive management with financial reporting regarding the level of activity within the terminal.

    Education and preferred experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field

    Minimum two years’ experience in managing a facility

    Understand LTL operations

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
