Telecommunications Technician jobs in West Virginia
Telecommunications Technician maintains an organization's telecommunications network to ensure dependable operation. Monitors network systems and performs diagnostic tests to document and report performance levels. Being a Telecommunications Technician conducts routine checks and preventative maintenance to minimize malfunctions and downtime. Troubleshoots telecommunication issues and performs or coordinates repairs. Additionally, Telecommunications Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Telecommunications Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Qualified candidates will have documented experience in computer networks, computer hardware and operating systems, LAN/WAN design and operation, Routers, servers and gateways. The ability to work with fiber optic cable and LAN wiring is expected.
The qualified candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, pc skills, Office 365, Cyber Security practices, help desk, the ability to work with others, and work with minimal direction. Completion of a 2 year IT training program or 2 years of related experience is required.
The company offers a competitive compensation and benefit package. The successful candidate must live near Morgantown WV
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
