As a Telecommunications Technician, you will:

• Work with a team of mission driven, supportive, knowledgeable professionals

• Provide technical leadership and performance to facilitate planning, design, installation, modification, procurement, and operation of various information systems

A week in the life of the Telecommunications Technician includes:

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot data and telecommunications networks and devices
• Troubleshoot layer 1 telecom and data cabling infrastructures
• Travel to locations throughout the continental U.S.
• Perform telecom and data network cabling inside plant site surveys
• Install telecom and data network devices, VoIP phones and cabling

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. • Secret Clearance

• Associate's Degree or equivalent
• Availability to travel upon request up to 50%
• Demonstrated understanding of traditional TDM technology and PBX systems, wireless solutions, and cabling distribution systems

At least 3 years' experience in:

• Enterprise data communications and telecommunications

At least 1 years' experience in:

• Configuring and installing Cisco IOS-based routers and switches
• Deploying enterprise and standalone Cisco UC VoIP solutions
