Telecommunications Manager manages an organization's telecommunication systems to ensure optimal network performance. Implements and enforces policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Manager trains and develops staff. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Job Details

    Responsibilities
    • Lead and manage the planning, implementation, and completion of telecommunications projects, specifically within fiber optics.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining the scope, goals, schedule, and budget.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients.
    • Monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.
    • Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any issues or concerns.
    • Ensure all projects are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
    • Manage and mitigate project risks, identifying potential problems before they occur.
    • Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring everything is in place for the project to proceed.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations, identifying areas of success and areas for improvement.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in telecommunications project management within the construction industry.
    • Proven experience with fiber optics is essential.
    • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications systems and infrastructure.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
    • Proficient in project management software and tools.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
    • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
