    Job Summary and Responsibilities:
    SUMMARY

    The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER is the direct representative to the customer's foremen and engineers; balancing KGPCo’s resources with customer expectations and requirements. The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER is responsible to the Manager Operations for project financial and resource allocation for projects assigned to the associated area of responsibility or turf. The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER reports directly to the Manager Operations. Reporting to the SUPERVISOR INSTALLER may be one or more Foremen or lead installers. The SUPERVISOR INSTALLER coordinates manpower and the efforts of these subordinates with the engineers, warehousing and delivery, and the quality auditors to maximize efficiencies and customer satisfaction of every telecommunication equipment installation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned:
    • Oversight of installation forces performing the Installation of network equipment and cables in customer sites.
    • MS Word, MS Excel General PC knowledge
    • Quality Inspection / Adherence
    • Good organizational Skills
    • Ensure activities comply with all company EHS policies and appropriate OSHA regulations, and to perform operational risk assessments to ensure that risks are mitigated in activities of Operations personnel.
    • Interact with customer field engineers and foremen (both financial and operational) ensuring that the installation product meets customer expectations and set standards, and KGPCo is compensated for agreed services.
    • Schedule and monitor installation manpower to ensure that hours used are at or below budgeted installation hours.
    • Coordinate manpower to perform material deliveries.
    • Conduct face-to-face project start (Method of Procedure) meetings with the customer.
    • Coordinate the efforts of subordinates to ensure project efficiencies, and to review/approve subordinate timesheets.
    • Determine appropriateness of additional compensation requests (change orders) from customers when the scope of installation changes or other factors when KGPCo should be additionally compensated.
    • Ensure subordinates and installers are adequately trained to perform activities to KGPCo and local standards.
    • Effectively communicate to subordinates, peers and higher management all pertinent issues.
    • Evaluate performance of subordinates, recommend retention, recommend advancement and recommend pay changes.
    • Ensure KGPCo’s project tracking programs and other required computer based programs are updated.
    • Driving is an essential function of this position.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Installation Foremen, Lead installers and all installers assigned.
    Qualifications:
    QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
    • High School Diploma and 3 years of experience in telecommunications installation
    • Must have good computer skills (MS Office suite, Great Plains, tailored company programs),
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, leadership qualities, inter-personal skills, basic understanding of business finance (OP, GP, Budgeting, Estimating),
    • Concern for personal safety and have the ability to manage several business accounts
    • Must be able to demonstrate valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Must be able to provide proof of insurance.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Working normally in an office environment, though frequently required at customer sites. Must be accessible outside normal working hours by mobile phone to respond to emergent customer needs. Significant travel to/from customer locations, requiring some over-night travel.
