The Engineering Technician is responsible to use trade skills to fabricate or modify items in direct support of Kodiak products. Primary functions of the Engineering Technician include fabricating tools, shop aids, test fixtures, support equipment and small to medium size build fixtures, modify and upgrade existing fixtures. The Engineering Technician will be required to use Kodiak Aircraft Company inspection equipment and software (FARO) to inspect and generate repots for fixtures, tools and shop aids, and perform calibration repairs based on the report results. The trade skills required are welding, machining, tool-setting, and equipment mechanic. The Engineering Technician works in close coordination with the Tooling and Fixtures Engineers and the Machine Shop. Job description Fabricate parts and tools using standard materials and methods Repair and modify parts and tools using standard materials and methods Perform inspections and calibrations on existing tools and fixtures Use Kodiak Aircraft Company’s FARO software to inspect and calibrate equipment ranging from small tools to complex fixtures Generate inspection reports for post inspection evaluations Able to fabricate requested equipment from 2D prints and CAD models within specified tolerances Use Kodiak Aircraft Company’s CAD software to perform basic design of tools, fixtures and similar items Review and provide feedback on engineering tooling and fixture models, drawings and specifications in relationship to preferred manufacturing methods Join Daher to...
