Creates plans and drawings detailing the layout of routers, circuits, cables, switches, or other telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Engineering Technician ensures network connectivity for end-users. May evaluate existing networks and recommend design changes to improve performance. Additionally, Telecommunications Engineering Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Telecommunications Engineering Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We currently have Telecommunications Service Technician opportunities in the New Hampshire and Massachusetts areas. The Telecommunications Service Technician will report to the Service Manager, but will work with other Technicians and the Service Coordinator on a regular basis. The Service Technician must have a strong work ethic and a flexible attitude to be successful in this role, in addition, they must have an acute ability to solve problems effectively, on-site, with little supervision. Our Telecommunications Service Technicians are troubleshooters, problem-solvers, and customer relations specialists, in addition to being proficient cable technicians.

This means the ability to install, terminate, and test various types of data cables, as well as exhibit the leadership traits expected of employees in those positions.
