Telecommunications Director jobs in West Virginia
Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Qualified candidates will have documented experience in computer networks, computer hardware and operating systems, LAN/WAN design and operation, Routers, servers and gateways. The ability to work with fiber optic cable and LAN wiring is expected.
The qualified candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, pc skills, Office 365, Cyber Security practices, help desk, the ability to work with others, and work with minimal direction. Completion of a 2 year IT training program or 2 years of related experience is required.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
