Telecommunications Director is responsible for the strategic planning and design of an organization's telecommunications systems. Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Assesses current and future telecommunications needs and researches and plans improvements to meet those requirements. Additionally, Telecommunications Director trains and develops staff. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Telecommunications Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Telecommunications Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Overview: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various telecommunications systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. Duties: - Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems, including voice, data, and video networks - Perform site surveys to assess equipment needs and determine optimal placement - Install and terminate cabling, including fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet cables - Test and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment to ensure proper functionality - Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget - Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to perform installations and repairs - Detect and resolve issues with network connectivity or performance - Configure and program telecommunications equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls - Provide technical support to customers or end-users as needed Skills: - Certificate or degree in Telecommunications or a related field is preferred - Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical diagrams - Ability to detect and diagnose problems with telecommunications systems - Familiarity with fire alarm systems and their integration with telecommunications networks - Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in telecommunications installations - Experience with cabling techniques, including routing, termination, and testing - Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies - Ability to read and interpret schematics for telecommunications equipment - Knowledge of intrusion detection systems (IDS) is a plus If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent technical skills in the field of telecommunications, we encourage you to apply.
