Develops policies and procedures for installing and maintaining telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Director plans and manages complex installation or repair projects. Responsible for answering and connecting all incoming organization calls to the requested areas. Transfers clinical and support staff calls to desired destinations for continuity of patient care. Obtains additional and/or relevant information from callers to determine appropriate call destinations. Operates as a key member of the emergency management process. Dispatching teams in a clear, accurate, and calm manner to respond to emergencies. Functions as an after-hour care representative for clinical offices. Takes messages for both urgent and non-urgent matters and dispatching them as requested by individual offices.
