About the Team
VIZIO’s Information Technology team is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with cutting edge technology that helps facilitate productivity, support, and services to VIZIO. The Telecommunications Specialist will report to the Sr Manager, IT Operations and will be responsible for managing and tracking telecommunication assets throughout the company.
What You Will Do
- Ensures integrity in adherence with organizational policies, established procedures, and industry best practices for all telecommunications systems within the company.
- Reduce downtime and improve functionality of video conferencing equipment
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Fosters cross-functional collaboration with department leaders and team members to manage large-scale technology projects, including hardware rollouts and equipment upgrades.
- Manages the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement, and disposal of telecommunications assets within the organization
- Assess telecommunication needs across the organization to make determinations regarding the procurement of hardware and software
- Maintains an accurate database of assets to ensure accountability and protection of company interest
- Ensures that purchases align with organizational finance policies and procedures
- Create and maintain knowledgebase documentation related to our Audio/Video systems
- Knowledge transfer to other team members
- Travel may be required for new conference room setups
- On-call after hours support may be required if critical issues arise
About You
- Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent work experience
- You have 3 years of related work experience.
- You are a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, yet at times, ambiguous environment.
- You are a hard-working team player, with a “no task is too small” attitude.
- At least 3 years of working with ticking systems like Jira, ServiceNow, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years supporting video conferencing systems such as Polycom
- Experience supporting Genesys Cloud
- Administrative experience with Zoom, Teams, and other videoconferencing technologies
- Customer service mindset
- Very good understanding in umbrella protocols (H323 & H320) & SIP
- Very good knowledge in Voice, Video and Signaling standards & protocols
