Our client is looking for a Telecommunications Associate for a part time remote position.
This position will be 3 days / week and the person can work remotely.
Position Description :
- Assist with Voice Telecommunications activities in our offices in US and Canada
- Day to day management of all telephony in four Call Centers; three large offices and many smaller offices.
- Provide remote support to ITCs for installation and maintenance of routers, call managers and telco circuits.
- Act as the principal contact for telephony carrier services for coordination of repairs, new service, migrations, disconnect requests, and requesting of 800 numbers.
- Analysis of reports to find technical voice problems (lost calls, dropped calls) also periodically audits services such as long-distance and cellular accounts
- Plan / Coordinate / Manage telecom projects of moderate to high risk and complexity from start to finish
- Assist in the creation of user training documentation, provide user training, as well as additional information necessary for the proper use of the telecommunications equipment
- Identify issues and inform management of problems or obstacles that may impact deliverables
- Assist with all telecomm related activities, including LAN and WAN changes, pertaining to office moves / shutdowns.
- Evaluate current telecommunication infrastructure and recommend solutions, vendors, and products to improve productivity and customer satisfaction
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology or other related fields
- 6 years of hands-on job experience in the telecommunication industry
- Extensive knowledge of voice and messaging contact center technologies including SIP / PRI, Intelligent Call Routing, IVR, VoIP, Call Routing, Cisco UCCE, CCMP, Finesse, CUIC, Kurmi and Call Manager.
- Familiarity with Layer 1 - 4 Network Switch Configuration Maintenance for Cisco Telephony services
- Project Management skills
- Traffic Engineering experience
- Extensive troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Some after-hours work will be required
- Some Travel may be required
- Contract review and negotiation
