    As a Telecommunications Specialist IV, you will use your experience and expertise to support the daily operational control of our sophisticated voice and data telecommunications LAN / WAN system.

    Responsibilities / Expectations :

    • Provides technical services to daily operational control of a large complex voice, data telecommunications and LAN / WAN system with technical services
    • Installs, troubleshoots, tests and maintains all telecom / network equipment and on-site DC power systems including batteries (12V, 24V, 48V), rectifiers, generators, fuse panels, solar panels and grounding
    • Coordinates with SCADA, Gas Control, Network Services, local operations and company partners
    • Collaborates with Telecommunications Engineers / Specialists to assure the reliable operations of the Company's Telecommunications assets
    • Demonstrates technical expertise in specialties, geographic areas or operational functions
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education / Years of Experience :

    • Required : High School Diploma / GED, technical / trade school certification or military electronics training and minimum eight (8) years' experience in telecommunications, operations or maintenance
    • Preferred : Associate's or two-year technical school degree in electronics or military electronics training and valid FCC license, telecommunications certificate or license

    Other Requirements :

    • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
    • Demonstrates excellent organizational / interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Thrives in a team environment and can build partnerships with others

    Physical and Environment Work Requirements :

    Must be willing to :

    • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
    • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
    • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
    • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and / or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
    • Use hand tools

    Shift / Work Hours / Travel Requirements :

    Must be available for 24-hour call-out and to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises

    $81,900 - $106,600 - $131,200
