    We are hiring for a full time Application Development Service Delivery Manager (SDM). The SDM will lead the team responsible for development, maintenance and enhancement of business-critical applications. This job role will lead the team by establishing processes and enforcing policies related to development, administering, troubleshooting, and expediting remediation of issues on assigned applications. This position will allow for some work from home days.

    You are responsible for driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage a team of software developers and consultants to leverage technology innovation as an enabler to customer’s business transformation.
    • Oversee hiring and team composition and workload planning.
    • Develop and enforce department processes and policies including software development best practices.
    • Supervise project requirement gathering, technical specs, budget and timelines and Statement of Work (SOW) development.
    • Oversees internal and external projects and support resources including vendors, contractors, and employees.
    • Help achieve department financial objectives by assisting in the preparation of department budget, monitoring employee utilization, department expenditures, analyzing performance data, and initiating corrective actions.
    • Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress, identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities. Drive results proactively.
    • Interface and be a catalyst for unification of other functional and technical groups within the company.
    • Oversee and provide input to several phases of the system development and implementation life cycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms.
    • Develop staffing plans that optimize costs and provide maximum value to the business – track and take appropriate steps to stay within budget.
    • Discuss work progress and obstacles with assigned team and or direct reports, and provide advice, guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback.
    • Establish measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with business and organizational goals.
    • Mentor and lead assigned resources in their respective career development.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of application developers, including support staff
    • Develop and implement service strategies and processes to meet and exceed client expectations.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to improve service quality and efficiency.
    • Assist in Handling client escalations, resolving them in a professional and efficient manner.

    Skills:

    • 7 years of experience in managing application development teams.
    • Experienced with custom software development and the Microsoft Stack including but not limited to SharePoint, Power BI, Business Central etc.
    • Experienced with application development best practices including Agile development methodology and Microsoft DevOps
    • Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Analytical person with good problem-solving skills
    • ERP experience is a plus!

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Full time permanent position. Salary based on experience - $90k to $120K.
