This position serves and supports each of the business units of Mountain View Hospital and our affiliates through the analysis of business needs and the development of technological business processes, software, and systems. Includes supporting the application stack of the hospital, responding to work orders, and assisting the IT department in other tasks and projects as needed. The position requires a strong desire to learn and support new technologies and work in a fast paced team environment.
1. Support, maintain and document application software within all of the organization’s business units.
2. Assist with the recommendation of changes to business processes with the inclusion of new technologies, while being aware of the global impact of those changes.
3. Align the needs of the business units with the capabilities delivered by the IT department, and serve as a liaison between those groups.
4. Assist in the development and testing of multiple projects, and document changes to plans while gaining an understanding of the software development lifecycle.
5. Assist in providing technical support on each of the applications utilized by the hospital. Troubleshoot software problems and develop solutions.
6. Ability to work regularly scheduled hours Monday-Friday (some weekend or evening hours may be required depending upon business need).
7. Serve on-call on a rotating weekly basis
Education/Certification: Associates Degree in related field
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in related field. 1-2 years of healthcare experience or experience an environment that has to a technology infrastructure by compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI, and SOX. Have an understanding and working knowledge of ITIL and SDLC.
Technology: Various web and client-based applications, clinical software packages and business platforms used at MVH and our affiliates. This includes but isn’t limited to Cerner Millennium, Varian ARIA, SRS, MS SharePoint, MS SQL, Microsoft line of business software, Visual Studio, IIS, HL7, HTML, PHP, scripting, etc.
Language / Communication: Communication skills using speech and writing. Must be able to effectively communicate technical requirements and solutions to both technical and nontechnical users.
Mathematical Skills: Intermediate
Mental Capabilities: Strong problem solving and ability to prioritize, multitask, work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
Interpersonal: Ability to interact with all personality types.
Performance: Ability to systematically troubleshoot complex problems and develop solutions solutions.
