    MRC has an opening for a full-time Records Management Analyst supporting NUWC Division Newport's Corporate Operations Business Office. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Records Management (RM) Office.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Support implementation of a comprehensive Records Management program in accordance with National Archive and Records Administration (NARA), Department of the Navy, and Naval Sea Systems Command RM requirements and protocols at Division Newport.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of laws, directives, policies, manuals and current issues pertaining to Federal and Navy RM.
    • Maintain expertise with RM software applications, and support effective implementation of RM technology and electronic records management at the command.
    • Participate in the development and delivery of effective RM orientation, training, documentation and outreach programs.



    Required skills and abilities for candidates include:

    • Familiarity with records management and National Archive and Records Administration policies and procedures and electronic records management systems
    • Familiarity with Department of the Navy instructions
    • Federal Records Manager certification a plus.
    • Experience with Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, SharePoint
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to learn other government-specific software and systems
    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelor's Degree in business or library science
    • Experience in U.S. Navy programs or operations.
