Position Summary:
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology is currently expanding its emphasis on undergraduate training in science and engineering communication and is seeking to recruit part-time instructional staff to contribute to the delivery of courses focusing on technical writing and related professional modes of analog and digital communication. Opportunities are available for face-to-face class meetings at different hours of the day and days of the week (including evenings) for the fall semester.

Essential Functions:
Essential functions include submitting a syllabus at the beginning of the semester, delivering lectures and/or facilitating activities to engage students at all class meetings, assigning written course work and grading it in a timely manner, providing ongoing feedback and assigning final grades at the end of the semester.

Additional Functions: 
Availability outside of scheduled class time to meet with students.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Applicants should hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in science/engineering education, business education, professional communication/development, performance studies, or a related field and are expected to follow course requirements and adhere to academic integrity policies.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
